Heart Healthy Breakfast Bowl

Weekday mornings are usually rushed and routine in our household. Every morning, Trey is up and at it around 5:30am followed by the rest of the crew. As the chaos is ensuing between dog feedings, nurses getting Cameron up and dressed, lunches being made, and homework being finished, breakfast is one staple that is not overlooked.

Quite often we get in our own ways and forget that consuming a healthy breakfast is the catalyst for our entire day. Cameron and myself indulge in a huge bowl of organic oats topped with fruit, nut butters, hemp seeds, and other goodies to really get our day going while Trey and Hanna prefer a smoothie or overnight oats to take with them quickly on their way out the door.

I love being able to feed Cameron this heart-healthy concoction every day because it keeps his digestive track moving well, his protein and calories high, and has significantly lowered his chances of being ill all the time. Not only does this recipe bowl  provide you with fiber, but also loads of protein, nutrients, antioxidant, vitamins, and calories to keep you full till lunch. It’s a power-house breakfast that takes about 5 minutes to throw together so no excuses necessary!

I hope you enjoy this easy and affordable staple that can be a regular part of your everyday morning routine! Happy Eating!
